Hi, I am Eve – the creator of Gorgeously Gluten Free!
I’m a Yorkshire girl with a deep love of food, travel, and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures – all while living gluten free.
My gluten free journey began when I was diagnosed at just 10 years old. It wasn’t an easy road – for years, doctors brushed off my symptoms, saying “I’d grow out of it.” Eventually, I was sent to hospital for an endoscopy, and that day, my diagnosis was finally confirmed. I still remember it so clearly – after being starved all day, I was told to eat … but there wasn’t a single gluten free option available. Thankfully things have come such along way since then.
At first, I struggled to fall back in love with food. But with help from my wonderful family – especially my grandma – who spent hours in the kitchen adapting recipes and experimenting until she found the right combinations. Slowly my passion for food came back, stronger than ever.
That’s what inspired me to start Gorgeously Gluten Free – a space to share the recipes, tips, and discoveries that have helped me along the way, and hopefully to make your gluten free journey a little easier, and a lot more delicious.
I am also a keen traveler, and exploring the world while being gluten free has been an adventure in itself! From bustling streets in Tokyo to the more quaint southern Japan (check out the photo above!) to the sunny shores of Gran Canaria and even cosy cafés in Dublin. I have learnt how to navigate new places – and find those unexpected gluten free gems that make traveling such a joy.
More than anything, I want Gorgeously Gluten Free to be a safe and welcoming space – a place where you can come to when you are feeling lost, frustrated, or unsure about living gluten free. Whether you are newly diagnosed, travelling abroad, or simply trying to enjoy a good meal again, you’re not alone here. Together, we can share stories, recipes and encouragement to make this lifestyle something to truly celebrate.
